This year my motto is going to be "Make Every Moment Count". You can't ever take anything for granted, you don't know how much time you have, spend it wisely. I wish you all a very bright New Year.

Resolutions or just much needed things to do and be done....

I'm working on it...my list that is, my resolutions. There are so many things that never got done this past year, so many things I wish I would of done. So I'm going to try my damnest to stick with my list this coming year. ~List coming soon......

Playing catch-up....

This was a pic from Christmas day....mommy got us all PJ's!!!

I'm back at work so haven't had much time online. Seems the minute I go to work, my house gets destroyed and then I spend all my time cleaning once I get home. I think I'll ask Santa for a maid next year. Either that or Pray intensely that Henry works for more then 10 weeks next year.

Sneak Peek and a list.....

Here's a little sneak peek of Cocoa Daisy's January kit . This was the first layout I made and just totally fell in love with it. Sorry glitter, flowers and thin ribbon aren't in it. But anyhow....I went through my photos of the girls from the year and it amazes me how much they can change in just a year. They may not be perfect shots, but it is who they are....love that.

Things left to do in two days!!

• Make some cookies for Santa
• Finish wrapping a whole lotta presents
• Laundry, laundry, laundry
• Clean up the house
• fix the tree....little ones rearranged all the ornaments!
• Give Lillie a haircut/trim
• Finalize Christmas dinner plans and time
• Try not to feel so stressed

Yesterday was Turkey Day?

We had our Holiday feast at work yesterday. Lots of food....3 deep fried turkeys, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. Tons of sweet treats, dips and veggies. It was a fun...not do a whole lot of work day!

Strep.............

Henry has strep throat and is actually at the hospital right now. Yesterday he went to the doctor and they gave him amoxacillian, today soon after he took it his tongue started swelling. I have a feeling he has become allergic to it. So any thoughts and prayers sent his way right now would be appreciated. Thank you.


ETA: He's home and doing better....yup they changed his meds.

got a knock on my door today.....

from a young man needing a little assistance. This was at around 11am and it's still snowing. Think maybe we will get that foot of snow they've been hyping for the last few days! Heck I personally would love another foot on top of this so I wouldn't have to go to work tomorrow....wishful thinking I'm sure.

Favorites ornaments

Thought I'd share some of my favorite ornaments from my tree. Besides the kids ornaments I wanted my tree to be mostly gold, still need to get a new star...it's blue.

Got my January kit from Cocoa Daisy yesterday....yet another Gorgeous kit! I sooooooo want to play with it but I need to get printer ink first......notice the lack of layouts from me?.......that's why! I tried printing out these photos today......not so good. Well I'm off to bed....not feeling so great today....my lunch is still sitting in my stomach....yuck. nite...

The tree is up....

Mom Rocks!!

I've been enjoying my Timmie's coffee at home for the past couple days thanks to Mom! And besides that she is truly a blessing in my (our) life. I may not show my appreciation for her as much as I should and that needs to change.



Today I am debating on putting up the tree. I have been seeing so many photos on blogs of everyone's pretty trees, maybe today will be the day. I also am hoping to get the girls dressed and looking pretty so i can get a good photo of them to share with everyone. Haven't even started my Christmas cards yet! Haven't made any cookies yet. But we did manage to get out and get a few presents for the girls last night.

This we got for both Morgan and Lillie. I think they are gonna love it!!

Ok, off to get some things cleaned up and think about bringing the tree up....wish me luck that the girls don't rip it down on day one!

I tried...

So much for doing something everyday till Christmas. Some days you just have the creativeness zapped right out of you. Blame it on The Tin Man .....it kept me up for the past three nights till 11:00...way past my bedtime! Well worth it though, I have always loved The Wizard of Oz and this was an excellant adaptation of it!!

Well I hope the creativity comes back...I still need to make 3 more books for a friend at work!

December 2

I want to try to make something crafty and Christmasy everyday til Christmas. So here is what I made today. I know this is nothing new...I've seen it on a ton of blogs, but hey I had to try my hand at it too! I also got up the majority of my Christmas decor today...minus the tree. All of my snowmen are at home on the mantle, I have two little trees for the girls to play with, hopefully they will avoid the big tree when it is up, and next will be my window lights. Since we already have snow on the ground....I doubt that dh will get out there to put up the outside lights. I knew we should of just left them up last season!! I also have to start planning what cookies I want to make this year. Snickerdoodles are always first on my list....love them!! I'm looking for quick and VERY easy recipes this year, so if you have any please share. My time and income is limited this year....so it will be el'cheapo cookies!!

Tis the Christmas Season.....

December 1st
I was going to break out my Christmas Decor today...minus the tree. BUT that just did not happen. You see in order for me to get anything out....my house MUST be clean. And NO ONE here was willing to help me clean...well then! Tomorrow is another day.
I did however manage to get three mini albums done today that I'm selling at work....my best customers! Oh and yesterday I made this cute little tree, found the tree topper today at Joann's.
So tomorrow will be another day....and I will get my decorations out!

Playing with LightRoom

Was playing with my Adobe LightRoom program cause I just got some new presets....love this one....it's called Fried Egg!! The first is the original photo, the second is Fried Egg!

I also started uploading some photos to Flickr. Some of my better photos, some have been altered in photoshop or lightroom. I really want to get back into taking more photos, better photos and learning more about my camera. I have a wedding in April next year, so I really need to start learning how to use my external flash. Ok I'm off to play some more!

two posts in one day...wow....guess i'm bored from sitting in this house for 4 days straight!!

Found a cool site today..... FreeRice, a great idea to help aid in ending world hunger. And it's really fun to see how articulate you are!

I was reading Emily Falconbridge's blog and found the article she did for Today's Mama and thought that this is something I'd like to do. We really do need reminders of what we are thankful for each and everyday.

I'm also working on a mini album using the Urban Lily secret keepers like the cards I posted below. I love my crop-o-dile....it punches through those stinkers with no problem at all!! Anyhow, hope to have that posted later in the week.

I am by far not the best card maker. But it was fun to make these with Urban Lily's Secret Keepers . A few suggestions....I would use Staz-on ink to stamp on these. Unfortunatly I don't have any, lol. Thanks For Looking!!
