Goodbye 2010

What a great way to end this year....Thrifting with my family!!! 3 stores and lots of goodies later...now we are all pooped! Got some great deals, even some clothes for the girls, and Hubby got a sweet black wool dress coat for $20. One of the stores we only got to spend 20 minutes in looking around because they were closing early....I will need to take a day off work when we go back cause the place was huge!!!
So GoodBye 2010! See you in 2011 with more blogging, more photos, more family and more thrifting...teehee!

Already making lists for the new year, gathering ideas, cleaning and organizing. Now I just wish I had the time to accomplish these things! I do have a 3 day weekend coming up so at least the cleaning and organizing will get done. I don't plan on making any resolutions other than just being with my family....alot!
I do have a few projects I'd like to do...so I'll share that list in a few days! See you then!

Trust!!!!

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6
Early Christmas presents for the girls. My dad and step mother always send them a gift card, so I let them use it before Christmas this year. Was really hoping they would pick out clothes rather than toys....yeah right!

Things have been a bit crazy the last few days....you know the saying when it rains it pours! Henry's truck broke down, so we have been down to one vehicle. That doesn't make things easy. I wanted to pick up more hours at work, but his work schedule this week has been hectic....so I can't. Just when you think things are going well, God give you tests! Sometimes it is really hard to have faith....I am trying. Today just got me down. But I know He gives us nothing we can't handle!!

My share for the day is this Link to some very festive Wreaths!!
I would love to try some if I only had the time!!

Thinking about cookies!

Each year you and your family are to eat them in the presence of the LORD your God at the place he will choose. Deuteronomy 15:20
Christmas cookies our on our minds! Within the next day or two we will be going through recipes and buying baking supplies. I think Saturday will be a good day to start! Something fun for the whole family to get involved with. So what are your favorite Christmas cookies? Have any recipes to share?

Check out this assortment of cookies on The Pioneer Woman's Blog!

Time escapes me!

Again...sorry for my lack of blogging! Finally enjoying summer the way it should be enjoyed...by keeping very busy. July 1st we went to see Ed Kowalczyk the former lead singer of Live. It was amazing...he is amazing!!! The next day I went to see Our Lady Peace with some friends....it was so packed, I never saw the stage or the band! We spent the weekend with parties and swimming...my girls are fish! Had another trip to the beach....still in search of a glorious sunset...it was very hazy that day. So that was the past week....busy!
This weekend....here we go...lol. Last night we took the girls to see Gretchen Wilson, she was awesome!! Not quite sure what the weekend plans will included. Right now I'm enjoying my morning coffee and the house is quiet. The girls are still sleeping...it's lovely! We may take them to Artpark for Family Saturday . Let them enjoy some art and Shakespeare!
So once again I will try my best to keep up. Share our adventures and keep up with all of your blogs. Peace and have a lovely Summer weekend!

Busy but fun week.

Had a good week. The girls are done with school. The first day I took them and a friend to Fort Niagara beach, they had a blast, got completely soaked. It was fun just watching them have so much fun! We took them to see the fireworks over Niagara Falls on Friday night. I really thought they would be more impressed with the falls....they were bored, lol. How can you be bored with that much power right in front of you. Guess you have to be a little older to enjoy the beauty of it.
I wanted to get to an indie fair that was going on in Buffalo this past weekend, but it rained most of Saturday so I guess I'll have to catch the next one. I also one a little something on the littlest polly blog, so exciting!! Which in turn has inspired me to do a give away very soon, hopefully I can get to it this week. Now I just need more followers!!!
Have a Happy Sunday everyone!!

Happy Summer!!!

A view of Toronto from Fort Niagara. I really should take my 70-300mm lens the next time I go there! Anyhow, it's the first day of Summer and it was a beautiful 80 degree day! What are your summer plans? The girls only have 3 days left of school, so I need to start planning some activities for them! First thing is taking the girls to see Niagara Falls. We live 10 minutes away and I have never taken them!!! So Friday we are going to my sil's for about an hour of swimming, then going to the Falls, then we plan on sticking around to see the fireworks there...something I've never done! I really want to do a lot this year...hope we can pack it all in!

Yard sale finds!!

I would have to say it was a good yard sale day! Plus a few things for my daughters. I didn't spend much over $20. Gotta love it! Now I need to buy a few cans of spray paint for a few makeovers and I'll be all set!
